As you may or may not have heard, gawker has filed for bankruptcy. Now I’m not sure what that means for the future of oppo, but as your president, I want to extend an open invitation to Oppochat Ultra, a FB group chat that so far consists of myself and about 60 others. I also want you all to know, on a more personal level. You guys and gals rock. You’ve all seen me at my best and at my absolute worst, and have more or less kept loving (or at least not actively trying to kill me) for it. I love you all, even the ones I might be a horrible dick to sometimes. I’ve been here through many changes, trolls, and blowups, and you’ve been the best. In case the light shuts off, I just wanna get this out here. God speed and God bless Oppomerica.

If Oppo shuts down, I think we should find a replacement. Maybe we can create an “Oppo” community over on Car Throttle or something, it won’t be the same but it’s better than just giving up and resigning ourselves to the fate of the group chat (and no, I’m not just salty about what happened last week...)
